RYNO IS IN
Ryne Sandberg was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame today. It was his third year on the ballot. Given his career statistcs, and the fact that he was the leader of the first Cubs team to win ANYTHING in 39 years (the National League East in 1984, after the 1945 N.L. pennant), he should have been a first-ballot Hall of Famer. Nevertheless, I'm thrilled that he is in.
